We are currently working to preserve the music and legacy of David Cassidy.
"Hold on to your seats because we are about to blow the roof off this place", was one of David Cassidy's favorite sayings when he took center stage.
Who was David Cassidy, why should his legacy matter, and why did the music industry overlook his many talents?
Filmmaker Quinten Tarantino was quoted as saying, "David Cassidy was the most underrated vocal performer in the history of rock 'n' roll, " and Help Save the Music could not agree more! David Cassidy was one of the biggest stars that came out of the 70s and is still revered as a global icon.
During those early years David had more fans than Elvis and the Beatles combined and had a talent so enormous he was selling out the largest stadiums all over the world. He still holds many stadium records. In fact, in 1973 David sold out London's Empire Pool (now called Wembley Arena) 6 times in one weekend, the Stones could only do 5. To put it in perspective, the venue had 10,000 seats back then, if David sold it out 6 times in one weekend that means 60,000 people attended his two-day concert. That was proof enough that David was not some fly-by-night act. He would have all those fans under his spell with his beautiful, breathy, vibrato voice, and the way he rocked it out on the electric guitar, piano, and drums made his concerts legendary. David Cassidy still has millions of fans all over the world that are still devoted and loyal to him even after his death on November 21, 2017.

By 1974, David's fame had gotten so big and out of control, he had to stop touring before it destroyed his health. He was working 18 hours a day, then he would fly out on weekends doing a concert on Friday night with three shows on Saturday and Sunday, and fly back to Los Angles, only to be up at 6 AM to start all over. Despite being on the verge of exhaustion, David wanted to go out with a bang while he was still at the peak of his career, so he and his entire entourage set out on a 9-month worldwide tour that those who attended would never forget, including David. After the tour, David took a much-needed break only to find out that when he returned, the music industry had moved on without him. However, his disappointment in the industry did not stop him. David Cassidy continued to write and record music, which was some of the best rock music ever written and recorded. Sadly, the masses never heard his recorded music, until now. Help Save The Music is working to push David's unreleased music out to all the social media platforms, and your help is needed, see below for details.
